Description
A cartoon painted on a sheet of canvas in front of a tent at Nui Dat, South Vietnam, commenting on living conditions. A caricature rent collector is shown asking, "Wonder when they're gonna pull these bloody slums down!". The photograph was taken by 1201940 Signaller Robert Barclay 'Scotty' Wilson, of 104 Signal Squadron, who was based at Nui Dat during his first tour of duty in Vietnam. Robert Wilson died on 16 July 1971, on his second tour of duty, following injuries received in an accident.
