Studio portrait of 1949 Private (Pte) Merion Morton Moriarty, 3rd Reinforcements, 55th Battalion. A law clerk of Goulburn, NSW, Pte Moriarty enlisted on 2 October 1915 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Barambah on 23 June 1916. He was killed in action on 12 March 1918, in Belgium, aged 25 years.
