Studio portrait of 6353 Private (Pte) George Minto, 18th Reinforcements, 25th Battalion, of Upper Paddington, Qld (originally of Carstairs, Scotland). Pte Minto enlisted on 31 October 1916 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Demosthenes on 23 December 1916. He died of wounds on 23 September 1917 in Belgium, aged 43 years.
