Studio portrait of 87 Private (Pte) George Vincent Rixon, A Company, 13th Battalion, of Darlington, NSW. Pte Rixon enlisted on 26 September 1914 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ulysses on 22 December 1914. He was killed in action on 3 May 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey, aged 34 years. This image was taken from a collage of the descendants of Benjamin Rixon held at P04735.002.
