Studio portrait of QX11848 Private (Pte) James 'Jimmy' James (left), and QX11830 Pte Edmund Jones, both of the 2/9th Battalion, and of Townsville, Qld. Pte James enlisted on 22 May 1941. He was killed in action on 18 December 1942 in Papua. Pte Jones also enlisted on 22 May 1941. He later served as a sergeant.
