Description
Two unidentified RAAF men from No 5 Airfield Construction Squadron (ACS) spreading and compacting sand in the new hangar at Vung Tau in preparation to laying of the cement floor. The hangar itself, originally built in the Second World War, was a disused structure from an airfield at Parkes in central NSW. The hangar was dismantled and shipped to Vietnam to meet the needs of the expanding Australian contingent.
