Description

A221951 Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Anthony Michael (Tony) Reynolds-Huntley, of Killara, NSW, in his position as door gunner on an RAAF Iroquois helicopter. LAC Reynolds-Huntley enlisted as a cook, and being a shift worker in the RAAF catering section at Vung Tau, it allows him some time during the day to fly either as a door gunner in Iroquois helicopters of No 9 Squadron, or as an assistant loadmaster in RAAF Caribou aircraft. He regards his 22 sorties (to date) in the Iroquois helicopters as the best yet. He is seen fitted out in quite an array of flying gear, all bought or traded from United States (US) airmen operating in the area. His gear consists of flying helmet, ear phones, boots, flying suit and a 45 calibre pistol.
