The King of England, King George VI inspecting members of No 1456 Flight, RAF. He is being introduced to 402224 Sergeant John Ross Walker (Ross) Christensen, of Manly, NSW. Sgt Christensen enlisted in Sydney, NSW, on 22 July 1940 and was discharged with the rank of Flight Lieutenant on 18 October 1945. He was awarded a Mention in Despatches on 1 January 1943 and the Air Force Cross (AFC) on 1 September 1944.
