Informal portrait of three members of 8 Platoon, C Company, 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR), polishing their boots after being selected to do a royal guard of honour for the Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Phillip and Princess Anne during their visit to Lavarack Barracks, Townsville. Identified, left to right: 1735386 Private (Pte) Dennis William Neal, of Scrubby Creek, Qld, (later killed in action on 29 May 1970); 5716652 Pte Raymond John Draper, of Bunbury, WA, (later wounded in the thigh by a sniper on 8 October 1970), and 2792375 Pte Desmond John Tully, of Lismore, NSW, (later killed in action on 29 May 1970).
