Informal group portrait of patients of No 6 Australian General Hospital (6AGH) surrounding VAD Chatelle; VX58398 Harold George Bending 2/32 Battalion of Rainbow, Vic; G Warren; Max Hall of SA (probably SX5671 Private Maxwell Gordon Hall of Largs, SA); L Perry from Victoria; SX6339 Ernest William Shepherdson MM, 2/43 Battalion of Murray Bridge, SA; and Tommy Friend. Bending later died of wounds in New Guinea on 29 November 1943. Hall later died of illness in South Australia on 22 February 1944.
