14730 Sergeant (Sgt) Thomas William (Tom) Brown, of Sunshine, Vic, (second left), Non commissioned Officer (NCO) in charge of hygiene and 54758 Sergeant (Sgt) Kenneth John (Ken) Paterson, of Sunshine, Vic, (second right), NCO in charge of the mess stand around with young female Vietnamese RAAF workers discussing their pay packets. Not being able to speak the Vietnamese language the NCOs let the money arguments and confusion flow over them and like the other RAAF boys they believe that for the Vietnamese, half the fun of being paid is to have a good haggle over the amount they are paid. Also identified on the far right is Le Thi Cuc another of the young workers.
