Description

The RAAF Medical Section at Vung Tau, South Vietnam, although only small, is a hive of activity. The section does all the organising for injured, wounded or sick servicemen to be medically evacuated back to Australia. They also care for the medical welfare of the 300 strong RAAF component at Vung Tau, with injections, thwarting the myriad of ‘wogs’ that are ever present in the tropics and checking the health of the Vietnamese who are employed with the RAAF component at Vung Tau airfield. Here 56261 Corporal (Cpl) Brian Charles Clayton, of Kalgoorlie, WA, (right), vaccinates RAAF Vietnamese employee Vo Thi Lien (left), against cholera at the Medical Centre at Vung Tau airfield.
