Description

L9A1 (SUSAT) Sight Unit Small Arms Trilux made from a one piece, pressure diecast aluminium body. The sight body is screwed onto an aluminium dovetailed sight base that has screw adjustments for windage and elevation. The sight has 4 x power magnification and has a vertical post reticle. Auxiliary fixed iron sights are located over the sight body. A rubber eyepiece is attached to the occular lens. The sight unit has an anodized black colour. Markings - 126777; AVL; 1988; 1240-99-967-0474. Sight base - 12600-01.

The L9A1 SUSAT sight was developed for the British Army to realise the full capabilities of the 5.56 mm L85A1 individual weapon in service with the British Army.
