Blue working overalls : Women's Auxiliary Australian Air Force
Pair of blue cotton drill working overalls with a collar, pair of chest patch pockets and an open pocket on the right hip. Nine black Bakelite buttons secure the front of the overalls (one is missing) plus one for each cuff. An inverted pleated extends from the centre back neck to waist for ease of wear. There is a belt loop at the waist on each side seam. The legs are cut generously, ending with a 310 mm wide flair. The manufacturer's cotton label is sewn inside of neck. The front of the overalls are liberally spattered in white and light blue paint while a tear to the rear of the left leg has been patched with a square of cotton jean fabric.
Standard issue working overalls for use by members of the Women's Auxiliary Australian Air Force (WAAAF), made from 8 oz cotton drill.
