Informal portrait of two 2 soldiers taken at the show ground Sydney before embarkation for overseas. Identified is 643 Private (Pte) Leslie Cormick, 4th Infantry Battalion of Ashfield, NSW, (left). Pte Cormick embarked on 2 October 1914 on HMAT Euripides. He was killed in action on 6 August 1915 at Lone Pine aged 30. This is a photograph from Sister Imlay's collection held in the Private Records Collection at PR87/107.
