The grave of Corporal (Cpl) Hector Small, of Light Horse Regiment C Squadron, of Camden, NSW with the original headstone across. He embarked on 20 October 1914 on HMAT Star of Victoria. Cpl Small died of typhoid and dysentery on 4 July 1915 aged 22. He is buried at Cairo War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt. In her album Sister Imlay noted she was "with him when he died". This is a photograph from Sister Imlay's collection held in the Private Records Collection at PR87/107.
