Description

The Long Tan memorial service was conducted in the rubber north west of Xa Long Tan in the Phuoc Tuy Province of South Vietnam. It commemorated the third anniversary of the battle there on 18 August 1966 involving D Company 6th Battalion The Royal Australian Regiment/New Zealand (ANZAC) and D445 Provincial Battalion of the North Vietnamese army and the Viet Cong.
