Recently arrived in Vung Tau, South Vietnam, is a 13 member Australian Surgical Team to take over the work done by a similar Korean Team at Le Loi Hospital. The Australians, from the Prince Alfred and Prince Henry Hospitals in Sydney, arrived at Vung Tau without accommodation and knowledge of the Vietnamese language. The Le Loi Hospital wards were in such a terrible state of disrepair and in need of paint that staff of the RAAF Base Support Flight at Vung Tau, offered to help on their day off to remedy the situation. Here 57203 Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Lewis James Bock, of Busselton, WA, (left), 56051 Sergeant (Sgt) Michael Arthur (Mike) Chapman, RAAF Service Policeman, of Cloverdale, WA, (centre) and 33178 Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) Cecil G Kilsby, of Mount Waverley, Vic, are painting hospital bed frames.
