Studio portrait of 424855 Pilot Officer (PO) William Denman Croft, 466 Squadron RAAF, of Dunedoo, NSW. A storekeeper prior to enlistment on 9 October 1942, Croft was killed whilst on operations on 25 July 1944 over Germany, aged 20 years. Croft, the second pilot on the aircraft, was killed along with six other members of the crew. 423220 Flight Sergeant K W Campbell was the only survivor.
