105 mm M14 Cartridge Case
Description
A 105 mm M14 cartridge case (105 x 370R mm calibre) as used in the M2A2 howitzer. The brass case is 370 mm long with a outer case diameter of 106 mm. There is a 119 mm diameter rim, 5 mm thick, on the base of case. There is no base primer inserted in the 14 mm primer hole in the centre of the base. Markings - Stamped into the case head 105 MM M14 05-ADI-03 indicating it was made by Australian Defence Industries in May 2003.

Cartridge case used by the Australian Army in the M2A2 105 mm howitzer during the Vietnam War. From the collection of munitions originally held by the Australian Defence Industries Factory at Benalla in Victoria.
