Improvised Rocket launcher : Iraq
Description
The missile launching tube is made from a galvanised steel tube measuring 94.5 centimeters in length and an internal diameter of 12.5 centimeters. The launcher has three rubber wheels from a wheel barrow that supports the square metal frame. The launcher is manually positioned before firing using a raised handlebar. Elevation is adjusted using a car jack which has a horizontal threaded screw that is used for elevation and depression.
History / Summary
This improvised rocket launcher was captured by an Australian Army security detachment while on patrol in Baghdad in 2005.
