Father Christmas arrives for the younger patients on Christmas day 1965, at Long Xuyen hospital. Long Xuyen civilian hospital was located in An Giang Province in the Mekong Delta region of South Vietnam and several Australian civilian surgical teams volunteered to serve there during the Vietnam War. The event is being photographed by several Australian medical personnel from St Vincent's hospital, Melbourne, who served at the hospital from 1965 to 1966.
