He was Mentioned in Dispatches on 4 September 1969; 14966 Capt Nigel James Underwood, who later served in South Vietnam with 4RAR from 1968-1969; Capt J M Whelan; 29483 Lt Brian James Avery, who served as a Private during the Malayan Emergency with the 16th Field Ambulance and later served in South Vietnam with 4RAR from 1968-1969; Capt R Kennedy; 37893 2Lt Walter Sheppard, who later served in South Vietnam with the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV) from 1969-1970. He later served in South Vietnam with HQ 1 ATF in 1967 and with 4RAR from 1968-1969. He was awarded the Military Cross on 4 September 1969. He was awarded The Order of the British Empire on 10 June 1967; 17022 Maj Keith John McGhee, who served as a Captain during the Malayan Emergency with 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR) from 1957-1959. He later served in South Vietnam with HQ AFV in 1969; 3328 Lieutenant Colonel David Scott Thomson, who saw service during the Second World War as VX8275 and VX146397 with the rank of Lieutenant and served with the Australian Staff Corps. He served in Korea as a Major, commanding A Company, 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR) in 1952 where he was wounded in action and where he was awarded the Military Cross on 16 October 1952, for his actions in Operation Blaze against Hill 227 in 1952. He also served with the Australian Ancillary Unit in Korea during 1953. He was Mentioned in Dispatches during the Indonesian Confrontation in Borneo on 16 May 1967. He was awarded The Order of the British Empire on 21 October 1971, the Polar medal on 25 November 1969 and again on 1 January 1987. He was awarded the National Medal on 27 January 1978 and again on 30 October 1978. He was also awarded The Officer of the Order of Australia on 8 June 1987; 17057 Maj Brian David Valentine Lindsay, who later served in South Vietnam with 4RAR from 1968-1969. He was Mentioned in Dispatches on 19 September 1969; 235154 Capt William John Reynolds, who later served in South Vietnam with 4RAR from 1968-1969.
