A17445 Leading Aircraftman (LAC) John Alexander Henson, of Malanda via Cairns, Qld, shown here before a mission with No 9 Squadron, in South Vietnam. LAC Henson, who is only 21 years of age, arrived in Vietnam on 6 February 1967 on a 12 month tour of duty. He joined the RAAF two and a half years ago and will be based in Vung Tau for his tour of duty. No 9 Squadron’s main task is supporting the Australian Task Force in operations against the Viet Cong.
