Informal portrait of 3790506 Private (Pte) Lawrence (Laurence) Rodney Sheppard, 1st Battalion The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR) (right) and an unidentified soldier. Pte Sheppard served with the 7th Battalion The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR) from 27 February 1968 and on 11 April 1968 was transferred to 1RAR. He was killed in action on 13 May 1968, aged 22, during the Battle of Coral, South Vietnam.
