Description
An abandoned Italian Caterpillar, Diesel Seventy Five, crawler tractor, which has been captured by Australian soldiers. These useful and powerful tractors were used to haul artillery pieces and other heavy equipment around the battlefield. Note the Italian symbol incorporating a bundle of rods, attached to the radiator grill, which was an ancient Roman symbol representing power over life and death.
