History / Summary
This colour patch is associated with the service of NX119114 Captain Rawdon Hamilton Kenny who was born in Gympie Queensland on 13 June 1906. Prior to enlistment Kenny was a medical practitioner and entered the AIF as a lieutenant on 19 June 1941. He was later promoted to captain on 3 February 1942. Kenny spent three years with the Second AIF, serving with the Australian Army Medical Corps. During the early part of his service, he worked with 2 Casualty Clearing Station and 4 Casualty Clearing Station.
In August 1942 he was transferred to 5 Australian Field Ambulance at Northam, Western Australia. On 25 August 1942 the unit moved to Chidlows, WA. In July 1944, Kenny was transferred to 105 Australian Light Field Ambulance, where he spent the final years of his service until discharge on the 24 March 1945.
