Field cooking set : Warrant Officer Class II P J Johnston, 101 Field Workshop, Royal Corps of Australia Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

Three piece field cooking set. The bottom two pieces are nested saucepans, with a wire handle and fit neatly inside each other. The top piece is flat and could act as a fry pan. Its handles are the locking device for the mess tin, and wrap around the top holding all three pieces together. Each piece has a broad arrow symbol stamped on the bottom.

This object is associated with the service of 18583 Warrant Officer Class II Peter John Johnston. Johnston was born in Darwin, Northern Territory on 12 December 1940. He served with 101 Field Workshop in South Vietnam with the Royal Corps of Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers between 10 February and 13 June 1967.
