2nd page in a sketchbook of 42 pages of pencil drawings, diary entries and artist's notes. Upper recto: artist's notes; lower recto: the right half of a seascape of the Persian Gulf with vessels and sandy flats below.The artist writes: 'a flat, sandy land with a most piercing, clear light.
