Description
The grave of NX102161 Sapper, Harold Arthur Pickard, of Paddington, NSW, who enlisted at Pymble, NSW, on 2 August 1942. He was posted to the 73rd Anti Aircraft Searchlight Battery, where he died of illness on 29 January 1943, in New Guinea aged 34. He is buried at the Bomana Military cemetery near Port Moresby. Note the Union Jack which has been placed over the grave.
