Description

Taken from an RAF Coastal Command Hudson aircraft at 500 feet, the British battle cruiser, HMS Hood, cuts her way through a choppy sea en-route to intercept the German heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen and the battleship Bismarck. Hood was sunk later in the day by the combined gunfire of the German ships, with the loss of all but three of her crew members.
