Description
The newly constructed sleeping shelter for 311580 Major Peter John Pearson at the task force headquarters, located on Courtenay Hill (YS 4690) at the commencement of Operation Overlord. The open ended igloo like structure is made from curved sections of corrugated steel which has been clad in a layer of sandbags. Similar structures can be seen in the background (left) and a command bunker is visible (right).
