Description
Australian Army Training Team in Iraq uniform patch. The round, Velco backed patch is embroidered in shades of brown and shows part of the Australian and Iraq flags behind two hands holding crossed swords and a boomerang with 'AATTI'. Around the edge of the patch is 'AUSTRALIAN ARMY TRAINING TEAM IRAQ'.
History / Summary
The Australian Army Training Team Iraq (AATT-I) formed part of Operation Catalyst, the Australian Defence Force’s contribution to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Iraq, and was responsible for training and supporting the new Iraqi Army.
