Studio portrait of William Walster, James McQuade, Marjorie Wunsch and Lallie Walster, Junee
Description
Studio portrait of 3465 Private William Davison (Bill) Walster and Jimmy McQuade (unable to further identify) with their girlfriends Marjorie Wunsch and Lallie Walster shortly after enlistment. Lallie is Bill's sister who was two years younger, whose real given names were Morallie Myee (an Aboriginal term loosely meaning 'a new (young female) arrival to the area' so named by her father on the advice of an old neighbour. She hated the name and was always known as Lallie.
