Informal portrait of Supply Assistant Gordon Stuart Walsh, HMAS Sydney. Walsh was killed in action on 20 November 1941 when HMAS Sydney sank off the Western Australian coast while battling with the German auxiliary cruiser, HSK Kormoran, which also sank. He was aged 18 years.
