Studio portrait of 3130 Private (Pte) John Robinson Turner, 7th Reinforcements, 43rd Battalion, of Payneham, SA. A warehouse assistant prior to enlisting on 20 February 1917, Pte Turner embarked from Adelaide on 23 June 1917 aboard HMAT Borda. He was killed in action 24 February 1918, in France, aged 24 years.
