Description
A signaller, standing beside the Tartar missile launcher of the RAN guided missile destroyer HMAS Brisbane (II) D41, signals with a flag to a United States Navy Kaman SH-2 Seasprite helicopter carrying a sling of supplies. The helicopter is probably from the Suribachi class ammunition ship USS Haleakala (AE 25), which is particpating in a Replenishment at Sea (RAS) with HMAS Brisbane. The Brisbane is on its second and last deployment off the coast of Vietnam, serving on the gunline with the US Seventh Fleet.
