Studio portrait of 3040 Acting Corporal (later Corporal) Ewen Alexander Cameron, 21st (later 60th) Battalion, of Mansfield, Victoria. A school teacher prior to enlisting, he embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Wiltshire (A18) on 18 November 1915. On 19 July 1916, he was killed in action, at Fleurbaix (Fromelles), France, aged 32. He is buried in the VC Corner Australian Cemetery and Memorial, Fromelles, France.
