Studio portrait of Lieutenant William Hugh Hamilton, 14th Battalion of Duntroon, ACT. A Duntroon cadet prior to WW1, he embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ulysses (A38) on 22 December 1914. While in action at Gallipoli, Turkey, he was killed on 18 May 1915, aged 21. He is buried in the Shrapnel Valley Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
