Miniature novelty Christmas underwear : Leading Aircraftman R Rooke, RAAF
Description
Miniature pink underpants with a yellow fringe trim around the legs. An image of Santa Claus is printed in black on the front of the pants with the words 'MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR/ DON'T GET CAUGHT WITH YOUR PANTS DOWN'. With the pants is a magazine or newspaper cutting with a joke.
History / Summary
Christmas souvenir sent by 71331 Leading Aircraftman Raymond Rooke to his sister Maria. LAC Rooke was born in Ashfield NSW in 1914 and enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force on 14 October 1942. He was discharged from 8 Operational Training Unit on 18 December 1945.
