Studio portrait of Second Lieutenant (2nd Lt) Errol Edward Rodda, 8th Battalion of Maldon, Victoria. A school teacher prior to enlisting, he embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Suffolk (A23) on 1 April 1916. On 18 August 1916, he was killed in action at Pozieres, France, aged 27. 2nd Lt Rodda is buried in the Adanac Military Cemetery, Miraumont, France.
