A muddy M113A1 armoured personnel carrier (APC), with the call sign three one (31), of B Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, Royal Australian Armoured Corps. The vehicle has been fitted with additional sponson armour (visible above the first three road wheels) and belly armour (visible on the front of the lower hull) which gave superior protection to the vehicle in the event of mine blast. The vehicle is armed with a .50 calibre M2 HB Browning heavy machine gun (fitted within the T50 turret) and a pintle mounted .30 calibre L3A4 Browning medium machine gun. A spare section of track link and a shovel have been fitted to the front hull, together with a pre-attached steel tow-rope.
