Studio portrait of 4025 Private (Pte) Abraham Cowley, 1st Battalion, of Milsons Point, NSW. A painter prior to enlisting on 8 September 1915, Pte Cowley embarked from Sydney, NSW, aboard RMS Mooltan on 11 December 1915. He was killed in action at Pozieres, France, on 22 July 1916, aged 21.
