Description

Portrait of unidentified members of the 7th Division, undergoing training in tank recovery somewhere in Western Australia during the Second World War. The Diamond T, 12 ton tractor (called Big Bertha, with the army registration number 49504) and M9, 40 ton trailer combination, is known as the M19 tank transporter and it is carrying an M3 Grant tank (with riveted hull) which has had the 75 mm gun removed from the starboard side sponson.
