Description
Hand drawn and painted commemorative roll. It contains the signatures and service numbers of 60 men of the Australian Light Horse and associated units. A portrait photograph of an unknown soldier is pasted to the centre and Jaffa, Jerusalem and Jordan, three of the major campaigns of the desert war, are painted on a surrounding scroll. Their initials (3 Js) are prominently displayed at lower right. The roll is surrounded by painted leaves and flowers of Australian wattle.
