Group portrait of sergeants of C Squadron, 3rd Australian Light Horse Regiment. Identified from left to right, back row: 411 Sergeant (Sgt) Arthur Clement Foster; 414 Sgt Herbert Rayner French; 365 Sgt Harold Henry Besier; 806 Sgt Alma William Hunn; 441 Sgt Cyrus Havelock Lade (who later died of wounds received at Gaza, Palestine, aged 36, on 23 April 1917). Front row: 395 Sgt Cecil Harold Davis; 367 Sgt Cyril Ashley Bennetto; 381 Sgt Arnold Walter Bean; Sgt Robertson. All men except Sgt Robertson were original reinforcements of the unit.
