Description
Spectators line the street, watching the procession of vehicles as it passes along a Proserpine street on VP day. Children run and ride decorated bicycles behind the last vehicle which is a Ford Queensland Transport Board ambulance, clearly marked with a white stripe around the mudguards, so that it is visible at night. The second last vehicle has hand painted signs hanging from it, the one on the rear reads 'HONOURABLE JAP LAUNDRY, HE FINISH HARA-KARI'.
