Description

At the 249th General Hospital, Bagram Airbase, a ten year old Afghani boy named Sediquallah is treated for burns to 70 percent of his body. He was injured by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast. Since the commencement of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, the military response to the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, IEDs have been used by the Taliban and its supporters against American, International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), Afghan military and civilian vehicles. Bagram Airbase has been used by United States and allied forces since the commencement of Operation Enduring Freedom, the military response to the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.
