Description
An Afghan man and two boys, walk along a road beside a stream as members of a United States force, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, ? Marine Regiment, United States Marine Corps (USMC), armed with M16 rifles, patrol in the Asadabad area, searching for suspected Taliban fighters. The boys appear to have left the stream after swimming or cooling off in the water. The USMC is serving in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, the military response to the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.
