Description
A young Afghan boy sleeps on a rug on the floor as members of a United States force, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, ? Marine Regiment, United States Marine Corps (USMC), armed with M16 rifles, search his family house for weapons and suspected Taliban fighters. The room contains cooking utensils and a small bed with corn (?) cobs stored underneath. The USMC is serving in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, the military response to the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.
